A New 4WD for Bali Kids

Remote villages accessible only by mountain roads are no longer a challenge for medical staff.

The Medical and Dental team at Bali Kids services over 10,000 under-privileged children annually. Services are provided in-house at the Bali Kids centre or via their Mobile Clinic, which operates five or six days every week.

In addition to visiting orphanages all over Bali, their Mobile Clinic team travels to many remote mountain areas such as Singaraja, Karang Asem and Negara. Many of the mountain roads are extremely treacherous with steep inclines, particularly in the rainy season.

It is therefore critical that the team has suitable vehicles to safely transport staff and medical supplies to these remote locations. With funds raised at our previous Live Lounge and Fitness Challenge events we were thrilled to be able to buy the team a new Nissan Navara four-wheel drive.

Another vehicle, the Angels are proud to help fund is a Hiace Bus. This vehicle is used by Bali Kids for medical supplies storage when on long haul medical runs out to remote villages. Bali Kids also uses the Hiace Bus to support another local charity, Bali Children’s Foundation, who assist them with education.
